WebAssist loads very slow under Windows 8 and XAMPP

Hi there, I just installed a new Windows 8 system (fresh install, latest drivers, software etc)
(I used to use Windows 7 without issues)

I am now using XAMPP for my localhost as WAMP does seem to play nice in Windows 8.

When I go to open a server behaviour it takes a long time for the panel to display the options as though its thinking about it for example to load up DataAssist Update Single Record server behaviour takes around 12 seconds to display!. Considering this is a new fresh install of all latest drivers and software I was wondering if this is a Windows 8 issue or a XAMPP server issue that maybe already reported? Just wondering what I can do to make things run faster like they used to do on my previous Windows 7 system?

Chris
