Validation Sessions in Firefox
Hi Guys,
I have come across a small problem with only seems to occur in Firefox.
On my validation pages, the very last thing I do is clear the session variable that stores the validation entry. This is because, in theory, I shouldnt need this again as when the page is resubmitted it is repopulated with any further errors.
Now, in Safari, Chrome and IE9 (havent tried 7 or 8) this all works fine. The validation works and the form elements are all populated with the original values that were entered.
However, Firefox (on Windows or Mac) doesn't work as I expect it to. It seems that by adding the code to unset the validation session at the bottom of the page, it destroys the values that are required to repopulate the form elements. If i take out the unset code everything works fine.
Is this a quirk in the way Firefox renders the page? Has anyone else come across this? I am even doing this the correct way?
All I am using the bottom of the page is something like
unset($_SESSION("WAVT_register_123_errors");
Am I missing the trick here and supposed to do this another way?
Cheers
Ian
