Work around

Hi All,

Any one who has the issues that I am having adding a new line when and where you want it placed can do the following.

After saving a WA type a preset is created which draws on a simple XML file to create again and again, by locating the XML file associated with the form you are creating you can easily edit the file to place the desired objects where you originally wanted them to appear. In my case the XML files are located here on Windows 7 x64:

<user directory>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US\Configuration\Shared\WebAssist\FormBuilder\FormDefinitions\GroupStructures\<your preset group name>

If this file is edited to the desired structure you can then reproduce the forms at will, of course caution should be taken when editing to ensure no typos are made and the structure is not 'violated' as the form can become useless. I recommend making a copy and working with that prior to commiting the changes to the working file. You can always go back to the original ;)

Sorry in advance if this violates any WA rules but it is very frustrating to me to have to insert a new object at line one then move it down to line 20 where it is needed after the clinet again changes the design of the form.

Regards,

Gary
