to help troubleshoot, you should make sure the email does not redirect to another page after sending, then add the following code to line 1 to turn on error reporting:
<?php
error_reporting(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors','on');
?>
and add the following code just before the closing </body> tag to write the session contents to the page:
<pre><?php var_dump($_SESSION); ?></pre>
the session contents will include a section to show whether the message was sent to the SMTP server successfully or not, this will help determine if the problem is your Universal Email settings, or the Pear Mail installation. If it is a problem with the Pear install, you will need to contact the host for help on configuring pear.
one thing that The 2 most common issues I run into with PEAR Mail are:
1) Incorrect path to pear
2) In most cases the From Email address must be the same address used for the username section of authentication.
