Can't edit the Captcha

Can't edit the Captcha

I keep getting a pop up that says 'color must have a # and be 7 characters' in the 'Insert Captcha Security box (this is the box that pops up when I press on Edit after selecting the Captcha code). I have to press escape without being able to edit anything.

About a month ago I reformatted my hd and reinstalled everything on my computer along with Dreamweaver and all the extensions. I know there's an order of instlalations particularly with DataAssist and eCart, but since I don't remember what the order is I just installed without regard to order. I've been having other problems with error messages popping up. But I'd like to address this one first. Why is this message coming up and not allowing me to do anything with the captcha?
