1) Templates can simply be applied after creating the pages. Go to Modify->Templates->Apply template to page. Since we were running into issues where complex or broken templates to begin with were causing crashes or errors in the wizard we thought it a better idea to leave this feature out so that it could be done in Dreamweaver directly. We also want to promote using Plugins and Templates from Framework builder over DW templates to begin with.

2) Field labels can be updated from the Field settings interface (where validations are set) linked from the second tab in the Data Assist wizard.
