Can't Get POWER CMS to Work Locally Either

I think the WebAssist products are a great idea.

But I am having repeated trouble with PCMS. I have installed
Security Assist first with no problem and then installed PCMS.
PCMS broke everything.

I have tried connecting remotely which I can no longer seem
to do. And now I have tried to install locally using XAMMP and
WAMP.

First I had to enable CURL which on the INET(GOOGLE) says is
done with only 1 file. I had to enable CURL in:

php.ini-development
php.ini-production
php.ini ( in the PHP folder)
php.ini (in the Apache folder)
phpForApache.in

and finally it worked.

Now as I try to run the CMS setup locally I can get to the 3rd Step of the installation
Wizard requiring Database Info. I've tried to run using "root" with no password; "root" with a password; adding a new user with a password and all I get is stalled installation.

You have a pdf document located here:

powercms/

which talks about uploading solution pack files but I can't seem to find this anywhere. Is this for an older version?

I can't seem to get SECURITY ASSIST to work either. Isn't there some way to install these products without using the WIZARDS? I'm very frustrated as I purchased Super Suite and am stalled trying to get sites done for clients too.
