MySQL Error#: 2000

Connection made, getting other errors

I was able to make the connection but now I am getting other error messages with regard to the responce of the database server, then asks me to click the define button to check the database connection.

I know the connection is good, I know that all permissions are set properly so I'm a bit confused. This is the first time I'm trying to use PowerCMS Builder. I noticed when I first used it that it had given me an option telling me that not all dependant files were needed at that time so I chose not to add dependant at this time so the only new folder I see in the site structure is the connections folder, are there supposed to be more than that?

Help with this would be great.
