dual use of PS4 database

I have a client who plans a rather full and elaborate installation using PS4. In the meantime, she has a product that's generating several phone calls a week, so she'd like to get up something quick and simple so she can sell it online. She has a simple site devoted to that product alone.

When the originally planned implementation of the store is developed, the immediate product will also be included there. It's all one company, so it would be just as well to have the user database unified, and she'd like to have only one merchant account and contract with authorize.net.

So, could I set up PS4 on 2 different sites with only one database? So there'd be separate templates on the 2 sites. But only one database and only one checkout set up. Can you see why that wouldn't work? Would I pay for 1 or 2 licenses?
