Undefined variable: WAGLOBAL_PCMS_Serial

I have downloaded the PowerCMS 2.11 from the client's shared hosting server to my testing server because the client complained that CMS ate his pages. I think they are in the database, but I am not confident about that. Is all the information in the database or does it also store articles in separate files somewhere?

In any event, in trying to examine things, I am getting the following error message.

"Undefined variable: WAGLOBAL_PCMS_Serial in E:\xampp\htdocs\www.clientsiteXXX\powercms\images\installed.png on line 9

What is this variable and what file am I missing?

Thanks.
