Column 'ContentUserID' cannot be null

I had not used this feature yet.

When I click on Content Menu in Store Manager. I see News Pod in left Column.
Under News Pod I have News 2, News 1 and Article 1. They all have a + sign next to them. I clicked on the plus next to News 1 to get a News 2. How do I remove a page? I do not have a Minus sign anywhere for the.
Next to Artcile 1, I clicked on the plus sign to Add Article, I get popup that says Add new Page to Template with a Content Name text input box. When I type something in this field, I get Column 'ContentUserID' cannot be null.

Also, I can empty these Header and Content areas, but they still show up as Read More... on the Home page.
