Another issue

The lack of any tangable reference material or manuals on this stuff is driving me mad.

I have uploaded my database
I have changed both connections strings to point to my online Database (I have not idea if this is correct or not)
I have uploaded my site files and all is working fine (I Think) Except one page.

I have tried to redo this page and add the content from PowerCMS

But when the dialoge box comes up now all the content reference dropdowns are now blanc as my connections are now pointing at the remote database. and not the local one that I created the site with.

If I change them back, I will be able to do the changes but this will only effect the local database.

What am I doing wrong, IF YOU ARE ONLY GOING TO OFFER FORUM HELP THEN SOME MANUALS WOULD BE GOOD.
