Dreamweaver's design view can be problematic sometimes. It is loosely based on the webkit browser engine, but it is not a full fledged browser.

you may be able to get the design to show correctly in design view by turning off invisible aids (View -> Visual Aids -> Hide all)

If that does not work, it may not be something that can be fixed.
