Personalise an email using UE 4

Personalise an email using UE 4

I'm using the Recordset loop to send my email to multiple recipients.

But I want the body of the email to be specific to each recipient e.g. salutation, id in link.

I can send the emails but the body is the same for each recipient.

How do I personalise my email?

I've tried referencing the recordset using this method (from a related thread);
Add to template body:
<?php
global $RecipArray;
global $RecipIndex;
?>
Reference columns using <?php echo ($RecipArray[$RecipIndex][0]["[ColumnName]"])?>

But now I get no dynamic content at all (whereas before at least I got the first record).

This is the SQL query: "SELECT mid, email, firstname, lastname, fee, type FROM test INNER JOIN type ON test.tid = type.tid WHERE nid = 12 AND email <> ''"
