Hi there not sure how to go about doing this.

some of my products are items such as giftwrap, gift boxes.

When a customer orders one of these i need them to be able to enter a custom message to appear on it.

Whats he best way of going about this, ie. is it possible to have a notes colulmn for a product in a cart, and have this saved to the order and passed on to the payment gateway.

or would i need to have a seperate product called gift message and have that set as no price. still how would i set the message?

any pointers to set me off in the right direction would be much appreciated
