forms not sending checkboxes

I am having trouble getting a form, InfoRequest.php , to email the checkbox group. The php file, waue_InfoRequest_10.php, generated the following:

$MailBody = $MailBody . " <tr class=\"attrnyInfo\">\r\n";
$MailBody = $MailBody . " <td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\">Areas of Interest: </td>\r\n";
$MailBody = $MailBody . " <td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\" ><label>\r\n";
$MailBody = $MailBody . " <input ";
if (!(strcmp(((isset($_POST["CheckboxGroup1"]))?$_POST["CheckboxGroup1"]:""),"Yes"))) {echo "checked=\"checked\"";}
$MailBody = $MailBody . " type=\"checkbox\" name=\"CheckboxGroup1\" id=\"CheckboxGroup1_0\" />\r\n";
$MailBody = $MailBody . " Business & Emerging Business</label>\r\n";
$MailBody = $MailBody . " <br />\r\n";

In a forum thread dated 9 NOV 11, Jason advised replacing the above with a line of code like this:

$MailBody = $MailBody . ((isset($_POST["checkbox1"]))?$_POST["checkbox1"]:"Yes");

That worked on another form that has two single checkboxes not in a group, ContactMe3.php , but I have tried various combinations of this and cannot get InfoRequest.php to email anything but the original form format (Checkbox in front of Title): Business & Emerging Business

Files attached. Hoping you can take a look. Thanking you in advance.
