Dynamic pages from different templates

I have previously created a website where almost all the pages have different layouts.
In addition, most pages in multiple languages.
Each pages is static with a php-menu included, times the number of languages. A total of 65 pages in three languages.
Now I want to convert the site into a database-driven, dynamic site - without changing the pages layouts.
I want to create content management system, administration options, File Upload, database-driven forms and be able to add text for each language on the same page.
If I have understood correctly, all the pages builds from the same template.
Amateur as I am, I wonder if you could not put the link to the template page in the table in the database. And then tell the system to use this particular template. In other words, I would not have 65 pages but only 21 pages as template pages.
