the only work around at this time is to convert the pipe to the HTML Entity:
|
when it is stored in the database.
if it must be a literal pipe on the page, you can always convert it back on output.
to convert the pipe to an html entity on the insert and update pages add the following code at line 1:
<?php
if(!empty($_POST)) {
foreach($_POST as $key => $value) {
$_POST[$key] = str_replace("|", "|", $value);
}
}
?>
you can use the opposite string replace on output to convert the HTML entity back to the literal pipe:
<?php echo(str_replace("|", "|", $row_recordsetName['columnName'])); ?>
We are currently working on DataAssist 3 which will not have this issue, though i do not have a release date fr it.
Update:
It seams the forum software is converting the html entity code to a literal pipe on me, I am attaching a text document with the code examples in it.
