unidentified error

i'm having some issues as well with this - on my local server, running wamp, i tried to make a connection and got the unidentified error.
i use root without a password, and tried that first. no joy.
i did a grant to username and tried that second, no joy.
any ideas?

i wanted to use this method to see if i could get the mxp from dw to generate the files
that i would then put online on remote server, since that server did not accept connections
( working with support on that issue ).
else i would just take the files from a previous install and upload them to the server in question...

also i should mention the help key took me to an adobe page that no longer existed.
JSH_connPHP

is there a way to get the complete collection of files that builder uses, so that i can have
that as a resource to upload files when all else fails?
presumably they are not the same as the cms powerbuilder files - i don't want to use those files since the install is then domain dependent, and the reason for owning the builder app was to be able to multi use these solutions...
thanks in advance again
