Problems installing ecart 5.0.3

I installed the ecart 5.0.3 extension, however, when I tried to use it an error message came up saying something about being unable to find the configuration/floaters directory. As a result I removed the extension and attempted to install it again. I then received the message "Internal error (please contact technical support). The extension will not be installed".

Any ideas as to how I could fix this would be greatly appreciated!
