session variables help

have a site using eCart 4 for a couple of years and not having any problems until now.

Unusual situations where a user added an item to the cart, filled out the checkout form, submitted the order from confirm.php and went to PayPal to pay.
Then went back to the products page (without closing the browser) and started another cart added a different item, filled out the checkout form again, submitted the order again and paid through PayPal.

Paypal worked and the client received payment from both orders, but the problem is the ecart store order summary and order detail.
The database only received the information for the first order?

thanks for your help,
-Jim Balthrop
