CSS MenuWriter & Nivo Slider

Hi.

I'm trying to add the Nivo Slider jQuery image slider to a website that uses CSS MenuWriter for its navigation.

I thought I'd cracked it, upon initial loading of the page, but when the Nivo slider effect occurs, the menu disappears. Any ideas what I'd need to change in the CSS to make sure the menu stays on top, as it were?
