Switching SSL - email error

My client currently uses the hosts SSL and thier secure domain for checkout. However we purchased a ssl for the domain. While trying to switch the checkout process i ran into errors.

1. all i did do was on on the view cart page, i changed the form submit to url. this seemed to work fine, the checkout page and the confirm order pages both displayed normally withour error.

2. after i pressed confirm order - this is where i get my error. The order does save to the database, but i get errors on the email confirmation process.

i can look at the lines noted in the error, but im curious why i would get these errors when using secure checkout on her domain, but not on the hosts shared-secure domain.

The errors i get all refer to the same line in the confirmation email:
if ($_SESSION["eCartCheckoutForm_street2"] !="") echo "<br />";
