Importing to the database

Thread began 5/12/2011 9:15 am by drayschermerhorn146715 | Last modified 5/12/2011 2:37 pm by drayschermerhorn146715 | 894 views | 3 replies

Importing to the database

I read through the previous posts on importing email addresses and didn't find the walk-through mentioned, so I've started this thread to get specific information about importing to the database.

First, what is the minimum amount of data that needs to be imported to get a working list of email addresses?

Can I import simply UserID, UserEmail, UserFirstName, and UserLastName? This would mean that there is no password assigned. Is this workable?

This approach leaves empty some fields that might be important to PowerMessenger - UserRegistrationDate, UserVerificationCode, among others - so I want to be sure the system won't get confused.

Secondly, what about other tables in the database? Do I also need to import something into groupsubscriptions and usergroups? And if so, specifically what?
