csmw multiple files uploaded

Hello Group,

I am using Dreamweaver CS3 and have built a site using CSS Menu Writer.
The site has both horizontal and vertical menu navigation.
The site has been functioning fine for many months after upload.
I am happy with it.

When I created my two menu systems I did work for some considerable time on changing and modifying of the basic layouts by repeatedly using Menu Writer. I have also detached pages from the templates.

I have now ended up with multiple cssmw files, numbered upto cssmw46

All of these have been uploaded and I wonder if there are duplicates that could be deleted?
Everytime I sync my site it spends considerable time checking these files.

It there any way that I can do this safely without compromising my navigation?
I am having trouble identifying the specific file used for each menu creation retrospectively!

Would you advise I ignore the mutiple files uploaded or should I try and slim down my site?
Thank you for your assistance and advice.
With regards
