CSS Menu Writer 2 Locks Up Dreamweaver CS5

Thread began 2/28/2011 6:05 pm by john.hinds8802419941 | Last modified 3/01/2011 3:54 pm by john.hinds8802419941 | 1468 views | 2 replies

CSS Menu Writer 2 Locks Up Dreamweaver CS5

Hi all,

I have had nothing but trouble since installing CSS Menu Writer 2. It continually locks up Dreamweaver CS5 on my computer (Windows XP). I have read "Common Installation Issues," and have no help there. I have deleted the file, WinFileCache.dat, but Dreamweaver freezes when I start Menu Writer from the Dreamweaver Inseert menu.

I asked for a refund, but Web Assist only allows a refund within 15 days. Hmmmm......

The Web Assist document says that "If the problem persists, you may need to uninstall your extensions, reinstall them, then delete the WinFileCache.dat file and open Dreamweaver.

I foolishly cannot find the downloaded Menu Writer file(s) on my computer. Does anybody know what the file name is so that I can search my computer?

Thanks, in advance, for any help you can provide. I have yet been able to run the program, so I have no idea about the relevance, ease of use, or durability of the software.
