Can the HTML Editor field be made into a read-only field?

Thread began 2/13/2011 4:25 pm by janet259027 | Last modified 2/14/2011 8:56 am by janet259027 | 1721 views | 4 replies

Hi Janet,

Please could you explain a bit more about what you want the HTML Editor instance to do, i.e. - where it will appear, and what it will be used for?

Usually it would be used so that you can input formatted text into a database, so that when you access the info (dynamic text) from that database column in another page, it will appear as properly formatted HTML instead of plain text. It is not really intended as a way of displaying content in itself.

Maybe you could say what it is you hope to achieve, and we can help with that?
