sales tax on our web stores

Thread began 1/12/2011 1:16 am by rasputin307444 | Last modified 1/17/2011 10:52 am by rasputin307444 | 940 views | 3 replies

request for ecommerce sales tax clarification

Thanks Jason. I have a bit more to ask if okay.

Hmmm... so, having my web store (with no brick-and-mortar at all, and only drop-shipped products from all over the place) with my LLC registered in Oregon (where there is no sales tax), can be interpreted such that I do not have to collect any sales tax for anyone?

I'm hoping that's true because it would simplify sales and would get 49 other states out of my wallet.

Sadly, I know how politicians "think" almost always these days in terms of a banker who owns them.... ;-)

Any articles or further clarifications are greatly appreciated.

best wishes,
