linking to a file will not work correctly

When I use the HTML Editor. I will go to insert a link. Click the browse server feature. When I upload or choose a file it returns the wrong link path. It is inserting a extra step in the file path. I cannot figure out where exactly it is coming from. Here is the page with the file path after I select the file.

The link should just be: /elements/uploadFiles/newsletters/Final Oahe Fall 2010.pdf

But is showing up as: /masc/elements/uploadFiles/newsletters/Final Oahe Fall 2010.pdf

On my testing server which is on my local PC it shows up like this: /Oahe FCU/elements/uploadFiles/applicaions/online Application.pdf

Any insight on this would be most helpful. Thanks.
