Hyphen in the search term

Thread began 10/26/2010 10:41 am by rusty371577 | Last modified 11/02/2010 11:06 am by rusty371577 | 2388 views | 3 replies

Hyphen in the search term

I have installed Search For Boss on one of my websites. It works perfectly except one thing. When a work has a hyphen in it the search displays no results.

Search: self-determination (correct spelling): The results are 0
Search: self determination (incorrect spelling): The results are 69
Search: selfdetermination (incorrect spelling): The results are 68

It seems the search does not like hyphens but many of the words in the site (Department of Ed website) have hyphens and they are correctly spelled with the hyphen. Not everyone uses the hyphens but I would like to make sure the search displays the same with our without the hyphen. What can I do to fix this little bug?
