the file paths are written to the database when the files are uploaded.
I think you may be misunderstanding what i was saying.
for clarifications sake, there are two, sometimes three, very different meaning for "site" when dealing with Dreamweaver.
1) Your Dreamweaver Site (this is where the root concept is important for working with extensions)
2) Your Remote site. You can set the Dreamweaver site to be uploaded to a subdirectory, this is where i think you are misunderstanding me.
3) Your testing server site.
