Limit on text length

Thread began 9/23/2010 12:00 pm by drayschermerhorn146715 | Last modified 9/23/2010 10:35 pm by drayschermerhorn146715 | 790 views | 5 replies

Limit on text length

I have implemented Power CMS for a website that is posting arts-related events in chronological order.

There are a lot of events and at the moment it seems to have hit a Power CMS limit.

When the user attempts to update the events by inserting text in the page, the editor correctly bumps the later text down the page. When they click "Update" it turns out that the inserted text is there, but the text at the bottom of the page is missing.

The page has a bit over 47,000 characters.

Is there a simple way around this problem?

The only thing I could come up with is to divide up the events into groups based on date, create an input screen for each, and then insert the PHP code for them sequentially down the page.
