Clarification on Templates

This should be simple, I am not finding anyone else with this challenge so it must be something I am doing. I am following the directions to add templates and I am not getting the pages to create. Here is what I am doing...

Created the template named articles
Created editable regions for the page Title, Date, Content
Created the page "posts"
Put developer code on this page.
On the "posts" page I put a short paragraph with a link to posts.php?articles=1

The only thing that it is showing is the main page (which has the short paragraph on it.
Here is the link bishops-desk2.php?Posts=1

I am feeling rather silly here but didn't think it would hurt to ask for clarification.

Thank you
