No Script Tag to Edit Menu

Maybe it is just me but after installing Menu Writer and trying to follow the instructions in the accompanying pdf something is wrong. I created a menu and it obviously had issues, so i tried to "reenter the wizard". I followed directions: "Click once to select your navigation menu on your page. HTML users will need to select the script icon beside the menu." There is no icon beside the menu. No wizard box opens.

So going into the css I can find no way to vary the widths of the top level, parent, menu items nor the second level items, level-1.

Exactly how is this suppose to work properly?
