Basic ? e-cart4 shipping & payment

Hi,
I am working in winxp, CS3 have supersuite, using e-cart4 on a php web site.

Couple of basic questions.
I already ran the wizard.
When I ran it, I had shipping at flat rate of $5.00 for each item.
Also I entered the email for the payment from paypal.

NOW,
I need to change the shipping from a flat rate to the amount entered into the database.
So, my client can charge different shipping amounts for each item...
Also, need to change the email/payment address.

I have accessed the e-cart object,...
added column "shipping" and changed shipping tab.rules..
Now, I'm getting error messages...

Parse error: parse error in C:\xampp\htdocs\store\WA_eCart\store_PHP.php on line 12

I have attached a copy of the page so you can see the code.

When the wizard is initially ran...
Does it automatically want to draw from the database for shipping?
When given shipping choice on the wizard, I thought I had to pick one or wouldn't be able to charge for shipping.

Also, how do I change the payment info?

Thank you in advance...
:)
