License change in Power CMS 2

Product activation

I don't get to fully understand this type of license. Since when WA changed the licensing for all Pre-Built PHP Solutions and how do you activate the product? I bought the solution pack and I got for free the PowerCMS 2 solution upgrade. All my PHP Solutions have no serial number but PowerCMS 2 so, what does this mean? And how does the activation process takes place?
