License change in Power CMS 2

Thread began 4/12/2010 2:25 pm by jcav26033 | Last modified 3/07/2011 5:10 pm by jcav26033 | 13254 views | 61 replies

Thanks for the clearing that up. It is good to know that the extensions will (could be) exenpt from this new pricing. Will this still hold since you are currently combining many of the extensions? The current pricing structure for the Solution Packs will still add hundreds of dollars of cost that the developer will still have pass on to the clients. If I wanted to put up any of the solutions that I do not own....,there are two...... it will initially cost ME a couple of hundred bucks with no benefit but having it running on my site as a test feature. If I sold PowerGallery/PowerCMS to a client today, I still have to add $200 to the bid. That would definitely get rid of that client (or make them think on it a bit more, or look for a better price rather than going ahead with the purchase). It only takes ONE bad egg (like the company that took advantage of your licensing agreement in order to GIVE AWAY the software) to ruin it for legit developers who follow the rules.
