As for the current support files that are in the Download Center, it is unlikely that they will change for any individual dot release of a product. If it is a completely new version of the product, there is a good chance that any included support files may have been updated.
Most support files are provided for a specific piece of documentation or Solution Recipe, and you would only need to download them if/when you intend to proceed through the training.
