debugging checkout failure in ecart 4/asp

have implemented cart but all checkout confirmation attempts go to checlout_failure.asp.

this being eCart 4/asp, i guess no one is going to support this now, but, as a longstanding customer could ou give me some pointers? or anyone else help for that matter?

how do i go about debugging the page in asp vb since there are no clues as to what's going wrong?
