CSS Menu Writer Editor Doesn't Show

Thread began 3/02/2010 6:47 pm by mccook283274 | Last modified 3/04/2010 5:32 pm by mccook283274 | 879 views | 5 replies

Update on Edit Menu Problem

I added a new menu to a new blank page. The site is an addon domain, in a subfolder of the main domain, and that is where I added the new page. The process added a new CSSMenuWriter folder to the main domain folder instead of the addon domain folder--I guess that is fortunate because it didn't replace the CSSMenuWriter folder in the addon domain that has the site with the menu I am trying to edit.

After adding the menu to a new blank page, I then went back to the page that has the menu I was trying to edit. The edit icon did show up, but when I clicked on it, it took me to the edit information for the menu on the new page, not the menu for the page I was in.

Also, you said:
> If the code is changed up too much from the original code it will loose the ability to recognize the menu on the page.
I'm not sure what you mean by "if the code is changed up too much from the original code"
It has been so long since I worked on the menus in this site, I don't know what I might have changed. However, I may have edited links in the code rather than using the CSSMW edit function. Would this cause the problem?

Whatever caused the problem, is there a way to get CSSMW to regain its ability to recognize the menu on the page?
