It is much more professional than using external messaging programs & sadly, I know some of the DC "beltway bandits' use Yahoo or Windows Messenger. And I know their employees get social pings @ work = Major selling point to end client! How cool would it be for them to have their own "branded," internal, messaging and/or help?
I could have at least one three letter agency if you offered something like this!
