I just bought the POWER CMS and am having some serious trouble even with the extra help from Office Guy and Neilo.

Neil, you mentioned a new version of POWER CMS that will be easier to use and better documented, which is potentilly exciting? I hope I qualify to upgrade to that for free, because I am getting nowhere fast with what I currently have, and only just purchased it.

While there are instructions that come with it, there are a number of assumptions made and troubleshooting items left out - i.e. editing localhost.php, that is all easy to edit the code as per instructions but there is absolutely nothing to help diagnose why the DB connection won't connect if it fails, why couldn't there be some typical examples, error messages dealt with etc. What about some snapshots of the correct looking DW testing server screen as well as the matching DB connection screen.

Reading through the many forums I have in the last 2 years, it would appear even advanced users are struggling with setting up, but the software is sold with designers in mind making the assumption they are not php coders, so I am a bit perplexed?

I am hoping some better documentation can come thru, or if you can't advise anything else, I will simply post to the forums... regards DG
