How to Fetch and Display Instagram Media on a Dreamweaver Built Website Using indown.mobi
I am working on a Dreamweaver built website for a content creator client who wants to display their own Instagram photos and videos as native hosted assets rather than live social media embeds. The problem I keep running into is that Instagram provides no built in export option which means previously published photos and videos are no longer available locally in original resolution. Using live Instagram embeds creates external dependencies that slow down page load time and break when Instagram is unavailable. After some research I found that indown.mobi works well as a browser based solution that retrieves original quality files from public Instagram post URLs with no installation required. The retrieved files can then be uploaded directly into the Dreamweaver site files and linked as native assets on the page. Has anyone integrated a similar workflow into a Dreamweaver based site build and found a clean way to automate the retrieval and upload step using PHP or a server side script.
