I have followed every suggestion as to how to get rid of the javascript error when running the Security Assist Wizard and nothing works. Here's what I just did.

1. Reinstall Dreamweaver CS3 for Macintosh.
2. Installed Security Assist (1.1.8) as the only extension.
3. Opened a php document.
4. Chose "WebAssist -> Security Assist -> Wizard" from the Insert menu.
5. Got the error "While executing onLoad in SecurityAssistWizard.htm, a JavaScript error occurred."
6. Escaped out.
7. Quit Dreamweaver
8. Deleted the MacFileCache-########.dat file
9. Restarted Dreamweaver
10. Opened a php document.
11. Chose "WebAssist -> Security Assist -> Wizard" from the Insert menu.
12. Got the error "While executing onLoad in SecurityAssistWizard.htm, a JavaScript error occurred."
13. Cursed loudly.
14. Quit Dreamweaver
15. Renamed the Configuration folder
16. Restarted Dreamweaver
17. Opened a php document.
18. Chose "WebAssist -> Security Assist -> Wizard" from the Insert menu.
19. Got the error "While executing onLoad in SecurityAssistWizard.htm, a JavaScript error occurred."
20. Cursed very loudly!

I got this extension as a time-saver and it is costing me time instead. I know that you guys blame Adobe, but I never have such an issue with other extensions. I have had similar issues with WebAssist extensions, but at least killing the MacFileCache always worked. Now, it doesn't and I'm getting pretty frustrated.

By the way, this was done on a backup PowerBook G4 1.5Ghz laptop with 2MB RAM. This weekend I'll be back on the MacBook Pro with Dreamweaver CS4 and we'll see if the same thing happens. In the meantime, it's obvious that WebAssist has a problem that should be taken seriously.
