Clear textbox if checkbox unticked

The web visitor must tick the checkbox that agrees to the terms and then click Submit. the email checkbox and associated email address text field are optional.

It seems that some devices wont Submit the form unless the "optional" email checkbox/textbox are completed as well. Attached is a Video showing the problem on an IPhone
