Image link connects to wrong record

Image link connects to wrong record

I am trying to link from a list page to a Detail page with the link using an image.

On the list page I have a number of records each showing an image.

The first image selects the correct detail but subsequent images all select the same first record.

When I use a non image link as in
<a href="Cat_canal_detail.php?RecNo=<?php echo $row_rsCanal['RecNo']; ?>">
<?php echo $row_rsCanal['RecNo']; ?></a><br> the link works fine.

The link not working is
<a href="Cat_canal_detail2.php?RecNo=<?php echo $row_rsCanal['RecNo']; ?>"><img src="../BoatImages/<?php echo $row_rsCanal['image1_900']; ?>"></a>

&nbsp;&nbsp;Record No:&nbsp;&nbsp;

<a href="Cat_canal_detail.php?RecNo=<?php echo $row_rsCanal['RecNo']; ?>">
<?php echo $row_rsCanal['RecNo']; ?></a>

Can anyone see why the link does not work please?
Many Thanks
