Don't Install the latest DW CC 2015 Update

Thread began 6/16/2015 2:37 pm by Ray Borduin | Last modified 9/28/2015 10:12 am by Ray Borduin | 24809 views | 119 replies

Last week I had a web chat with Adobe and their words were not very promising. So my question to you all are what is WebAssists timeline? Soon, like expressed below or a bit more proactive? Below is the transcript of my chat - ask me and I'd say their customer service is a bit lack luster, average 3 -5 minutes lag between my questions. Thoughts anyone?

info: You are now chatting with 'Seetharam'
Seetharam: Hello. Welcome to Adobe Technical Support.
Seetharam: Hi David.
David Hinds: Timeline for addon/extension support. Like many, I have a heavy investment in your product and extensions from 3rd parties. When do you think you are going to give us a fix?
info: Your chat transcript will be sent to at the end of your chat.
Seetharam: I understand that you are facing the issue in installing the 3rd party plug-ins. Is that correct?
David Hinds: Correct. The Adobe website says you are working on it. How long before it is fixed?
Seetharam: Thank you for the information .
Seetharam: I'll be glad to help you with this.
Seetharam: May I know which product you are referring too?
David Hinds: Dreamweaver CC 2015
Seetharam: Thank you for the information.
Seetharam: We will be glad to help you with your issue, however, I am from the Installation department and your issue needs an Product Support Specialist.
Seetharam: Please allow me a minute while I transfer the chat to concern department.
David Hinds: Ok
info: Please wait while I transfer the chat to the appropriate group.
info: You are now chatting with Nitin.
Nitin: Hello David
Nitin: Welcome to Adobe
Nitin: How are you ?
David Hinds: Hello, I am fine
Nitin: I just checked the information provided
Nitin: I am afraid but there is an ongoing issue with the same and our team is working on it . Soon you will receive an update for the fix
David Hinds: Nitin, I understand the word soon however it tends to have a different meaning to many people. Does soon mean in a week or in a month or in a year? Just how soon is soon?
Nitin: There is no such update about this for now but let me assure you that its not going to take long .
David Hinds: Ok, I guess there is nothing you can provide me. Thanks, sorry I took up your time.
Nitin: Thank you for your patience , Have a good day
