Dynamic Discount Codes - turning them on and off?

Does this also mean that we could run multiple discount codes at the same time, something which doesn't appear to be possible with the Discount Rules in eCart itself which override each other when applied?

Also, I'm confused about how the database driven discount rules would be displayed on the view cart and checkout pages.

Basically I like the way the discount rules are presented on the view cart and checkout pages via the eCart Discount Rules so I'm concerned that switching this to database driven is going to require some additional coding there also.

Appreciate the advice and guidance, as ever. Thank you.
