MySQLi - Server Validation 'show if' - does it work on a MySQLi secured page?

I have some forms working using mySQLi.
I have applied server valiadtion to the input fields using Databridge 'server valiadtion' and 'validate show if' to display messages about bad data..
All works as expected until I apply secuity to the pages using mySQLi. 'secure page' behaviours.
The 'validation show if' text will then not show up when the page is used.
If I remove the mySQLi 'secure page' server behavior, the validation messages will appear again.
