Shipping rules for packets parcels

Shipping rules for packets parcels

Hi Guys, Some products need to be shipping in a box as a parcel. These need different shipping rules to Packets. Is it a case of adding a field to the products labeling them as packets or parcel size and then editing my rules to check which one is right?

This is as far as I have gotten. What if a parcel and packet item are in the cart? I normally work out shipping by weight using the Irish postal service rates. Just not sure how to handle the Packet v Parcel scenario. Any help appreciated.

For info, the Irish postal system will charge by weight until the item is too big for a packet and need to go in a box. Then they charge by size of the box.
